Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and tax compliance (federal/state/local)
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights for stakeholders
- Implement and optimize internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Lead cross-departmental projects to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy
- Maintain accurate general ledger with detailed audit trails
- Prepare executive dashboards and variance analysis reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA strongly preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sector
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions)
- Proven experience with complex reconciliations and multi-entity accounting
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and SOX requirements
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication abilities to translate financial data for non-finance leaders
