Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end accounting operations including month-end closes and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable and ensure timely processing
- Prepare statutory accounts and ensure compliance with UK GAAP
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
- Conduct internal audits and implement financial controls
- Manage tax compliance and VAT submissions
- Mentor junior accounting staff and optimize financial workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- Minimum 5 years of UK accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in Xero, QuickBooks, and Excel
- Expert knowledge of UK tax regulations and GAAP
- Proven experience in full-cycle accounting for SMEs
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
