Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger accounts and reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and optimize cash flow management
- Conduct financial audits and ensure regulatory compliance across Maryland and Virginia operations
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with department heads on budget preparation and variance analysis
- Implement and maintain internal controls for financial operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work exposure
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and compliance requirements for MD/VA
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
