Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with executive-level accuracy
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with meticulous attention to detail
- Manage complex reconciliations across multiple GL accounts and banking institutions
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and evolving accounting regulations
- Lead process improvement projects using automation tools
- Mentor junior accounting staff to foster team development
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite)
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and compliance
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data
- Proven track record of process optimization and automation
- Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder presentations
