Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage general ledger operations and ensure GAAP compliance
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and cash flow optimization
- Coordinate external audits and tax compliance documentation
- Develop financial models for strategic business planning
- Mentor junior accounting staff on best practices
- Implement process improvements using accounting software
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel (VBA a plus)
- Expert knowledge of GAAP and Michigan tax regulations
- Proven experience with month-end closing processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
