Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger, including month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely vendor and client relationship management.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and provide support during tax audits.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and implement best practices.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts, providing actionable insights to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle).
- Deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
