Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Manage general ledger functions, ensuring all journal entries, reconciliations, and account balances are accurate.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure full compliance.
- Conduct internal audits and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor the annual operating budget and forecasts.
- Provide detailed financial analysis and reporting to support senior management in strategic decision-making.
- Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in general accounting, financial reporting, or auditing.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) and accounting software (SAP, NetSuite, or QuickBooks).
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data clearly.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
- Experience with process improvement and automation in finance functions is a plus.
