Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and support external audits with required documentation.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Monitor and control operating costs within budget to improve profit margins.
- Collaborate with department heads to forecast financial performance and prepare budgets.
- Ensure all financial reporting is compliant with federal and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Experience with financial modeling and budgeting processes.
- Knowledge of GAAP and internal control procedures.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or CPA eligible preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
