Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable processing.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and coordinate with external auditors.
- Develop and maintain budget forecasts and complex financial models.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal policies and federal/state regulations.
- Review and approve journal entries and financial reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA certification is highly preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and MS Excel (Advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and high accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
