Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Assist in the annual budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and prepare necessary tax filings.
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making and business development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is a significant plus).
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a remote or hybrid environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Strong understanding of US tax laws, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
