Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict compliance with GAAP standards.
- Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure total data integrity.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns, ensuring full compliance with tax regulations.
- Develop and monitor annual budgets, providing insightful financial forecasting to leadership.
- Conduct internal audits and implement controls to mitigate financial risk.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in general accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting with strong self-discipline.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
