Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Conduct variance analysis to monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide actionable insights.
- Oversee general ledger activities and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero, and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel to New Orleans or California offices for quarterly meetings (optional).
