Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure timely payment cycles
- Prepare and file accurate tax returns while maintaining compliance with federal/state regulations
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Maintain GAAP compliance and document accounting policies/procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in corporate or public accounting
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Proven experience with SOX compliance and internal audit procedures
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for presenting financial insights to non-finance stakeholders
- Remote work experience with demonstrated self-management capabilities
