Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Reconciliation: Perform complex bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Compliance & Tax: Assist with quarterly tax filings and ensure the organization remains compliant with federal and state regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and implement best practices for efficiency.
- Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors and provide all necessary documentation for annual financial audits.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
- Certification: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a remote or hybrid setting.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks, or Sage) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to stakeholders.
