Responsibilities
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and improve process efficiency
- Collaborate with auditors during external financial reviews and tax preparation
- Develop and implement financial controls to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory compliance
- Lead budgeting and forecasting initiatives for departmental cost centers
- Mentor junior accounting staff and optimize financial reporting workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work exposure
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, PivotTables)
- Proven track record in month-end close and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and tax regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
