Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and optimize cash flow management
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and state-specific regulations (CA & VA)
- Develop and implement financial forecasting models and variance analysis
- Lead internal audits and coordinate external auditor communications
- Maintain accurate financial records in Oracle NetSuite and SAP systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite/SAP) and Excel
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards
- Experience managing multi-state compliance (CA & VA focus)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
