Responsibilities
- Manage daily, monthly, and year-end financial accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and local regulations.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Assist in budget preparation and forecasting to support strategic decision-making for the executive team.
- Ensure tax compliance by gathering necessary information and filing required documentation with state and federal authorities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cash flow and improve financial processes.
- Maintain the integrity of financial data by implementing and monitoring internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate environment.
- Proven experience with financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting and communicate effectively via digital channels.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
