Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and filings.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies to maintain financial integrity.
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights to management on financial performance.
- Oversee general ledger activities and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus).
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Deep understanding of US tax laws and financial regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data clearly.
