Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, including month-end and year-end close processes.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management and external audits.
- Reconcile bank accounts and financial discrepancies to ensure data integrity.
- Support the budgeting process by analyzing variances and providing insights to management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
