Your Role
As our Senior Bookkeeper, you will be the backbone of our accounting department. You will ensure our books are accurate, our clients are paid on time, and our financial reports are flawless. You will work closely with our leadership team to streamline our financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly in the general ledger.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual bank reconciliations for multiple accounts with precision and speed.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely collection of accounts receivable.
- Payroll Management: Assist in processing payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements and provide insights to management regarding cash flow and profitability.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with tax laws and company policies.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage; strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are required.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to detect errors and ensure data integrity.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid setting (including North Carolina).
