Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and assist with year-end audits.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and improve financial processes.
- Collaborate with the finance team to forecast budgets and assist in strategic financial planning initiatives.
- Process payroll accurately and ensure timely filing of all tax documents and regulatory reports.
- Utilize accounting software to automate workflows and enhance data integrity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is highly preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid environment.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP and current tax regulations.
- Proven ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
