Responsibilities
- Manage month-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance
- Lead internal audits and coordinate external audit communications
- Develop and maintain robust accounting systems and controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and variance analysis
- Maintain compliance with federal/state tax regulations and filings
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with CPA certification required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Excel modeling
- Expert knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and multi-state tax regulations
- Proven ability to lead complex financial projects remotely
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
