Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements with variance reporting
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes for multi-state entities
- Develop and maintain internal controls for SOX compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and KPI tracking
- Implement process improvements using automation tools (QuickBooks, BlackLine)
- Manage audit engagements with external stakeholders
- Mentor junior accountants through quarterly training initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance with 5+ years progressive experience
- CPA or CMA certification required (candidates actively pursuing considered)
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and multi-state tax regulations
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and ERP systems
- Proven track record in process optimization for remote teams
