Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, and industry trends to assess credit risk
- Prepare detailed credit reports and recommendations for loan approval committees
- Monitor existing loan portfolios for compliance and early risk identification
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial banking partners
- Stay current on regulatory changes (FIRREA, Basel III) and implement compliance measures
- Present complex credit analyses to senior leadership and stakeholders
- Contribute to process improvements in credit evaluation workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking/lending
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and Excel (advanced functions)
- Deep understanding of financial statement analysis and ratio interpretation
- CFP or CFA designation highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts
- Proven track record in risk assessment and portfolio management
- Experience with credit software (e.g., Moody's Analytics, Fiserv)
