Responsibilities
- Process & Disburse Payroll: Accurately calculate and process bi-weekly payroll for over 300 employees using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring timely direct deposits and check issuance.
- Compliance & Tax Filing: Maintain strict adherence to FLSA, ACA, and Arizona state tax laws; prepare and file monthly and quarterly payroll tax reports.
- Time & Attendance: Review and audit timecards, approve leave requests, and resolve discrepancies in time tracking systems.
- Garnishments & Deductions: Handle complex garnishments, child support orders, and voluntary deductions with high confidentiality and accuracy.
- Payroll Reconciliation: Reconcile payroll expenses monthly, analyze variances, and provide detailed reports to management.
- Employee Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, resolving issues efficiently and professionally.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive payroll experience in a mid-sized to large organization.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or similar HCM software; strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) required.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Human Resources preferred; Associate degree or equivalent certification (e.g., CPP, FPC) is a plus.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of payroll tax regulations, wage laws, and benefits administration.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills with a zero-tolerance approach to errors.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex payroll topics to non-financial staff.
