Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize general ledger operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes including journal entries and reconciliations
- Develop and maintain robust financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic financial initiatives and process improvements
- Conduct internal audits and ensure SOX compliance across all financial operations
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial statements to executive leadership and stakeholders
- Mentor junior accounting staff and implement best practices in financial reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with 2+ years in senior-level roles
- Expert proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills
- Demonstrated experience with financial reporting, audits, and regulatory compliance
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
- Proven track record of process optimization and implementing financial controls
- Strong communication skills with ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Experience working in remote or hybrid environments with self-discipline and time management
