Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Oversee AP/AR processes with a focus on accuracy and timely execution
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for internal stakeholders and external partners
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives
- Lead process improvements using accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite)
- Conduct audits and ensure regulatory compliance for Wisconsin-based operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work proficiency
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and Wisconsin state tax regulations
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Proven experience with month-end closing and financial statement preparation
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for virtual stakeholder interactions
- Experience in financial services or manufacturing industries preferred
