Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Accurately record daily financial transactions and maintain the general ledger to ensure all entries are up-to-date.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor payments, and issue invoices to clients to maintain healthy cash flow.
- Payroll Assistance: Assist with the monthly payroll processing for a small team of employees, ensuring all data is accurate.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and compile basic financial statements and reports for management review.
- Expense Management: Monitor and categorize business expenses to ensure compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or FreshBooks) and MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables).
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy when handling financial data and reconciling accounts.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and vendors.
