We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our expanding finance team. This is a remote-first position, allowing you to manage your workload from anywhere while contributing to a prestigious firm based in the heart of London.

In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of financial accounts, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic financial decisions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) ensuring 100% accuracy.
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure strict adherence to UK tax laws and financial reporting standards.
- Assist in the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and providing necessary documentation.
- Prepare and file VAT returns and other statutory submissions to HMRC on time.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide detailed financial reports to senior management.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and manage intercompany reconciliations.
Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification (fully qualified or finalist).
- Proven experience (3-5+ years) in a senior accounting role, preferably within a remote or hybrid environment.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of UK tax legislation, including Corporation Tax and PAYE.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
