Responsibilities
- Manage month-end close processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Lead financial reporting initiatives for multi-state operations ensuring GAAP compliance
- Develop and implement process improvements using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budget forecasting and strategic planning
- Conduct internal controls audits and SOX compliance documentation
- Mentor junior accountants while maintaining accuracy in financial statements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with CPA license required
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks, and accounting software
- Proven experience with multi-state tax compliance and audits
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations
- Remote work experience with demonstrated time management abilities
