Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly financial statements with variance reporting
- Manage general ledger operations, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable cycles and cash flow management
- Coordinate annual audits and ensure SOX compliance documentation
- Develop financial models for forecasting and budgeting processes
- Lead month-end closing procedures with strict deadlines
- Mentor junior accounting staff and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Excel
- Proven expertise in GAAP compliance and financial reporting
- Experience managing multi-state operations (IN/VA focus)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and remote collaboration abilities
