Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee general ledger accounts and perform complex reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes efficiently and accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and ensure timely filings.
- Conduct internal audits and implement controls to mitigate financial risks.
- Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or high-volume environment.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of US tax laws, financial reporting regulations, and internal controls.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
