Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end monthly and annual closing processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements and variance reports in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Conduct detailed reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax returns, ensuring full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budget planning, forecasting, and strategic financial initiatives.
- Identify process improvements and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting, financial reporting, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, tax compliance, and internal control environments.
- CPA certification or active candidate status is a significant plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting and team collaboration.
