Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
- Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and Florida state regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
- Oversee tax preparation processes and liaise with external auditors/tax authorities
- Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with remote work exposure
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP/PivotTables)
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and Florida tax regulations
- Proven track record of managing month-end/year-end closing processes
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting
