Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely filing.
- Conduct internal audits and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast budgets and monitor financial performance.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation for audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of US tax laws, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data clearly.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
