Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger (GL): Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting during the night shift.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, verify discrepancies, and ensure timely payments and collections.
- Month-End Close: Assist in the closing of monthly and quarterly accounting periods, including journal entries and adjustments.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements and variance analysis reports for senior leadership review.
- Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation and data access.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial transactions adhere to federal, state, and local regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or high-volume environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Availability: Must be available to work a night shift schedule (e.g., 8:00 PM - 5:00 AM).
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detecting errors.
