Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights for stakeholders
- Prepare and audit financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and accuracy
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and implement process improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and audits
- Maintain internal controls and documentation for SOX compliance
- Lead special projects including system implementations and process automation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public or corporate accounting
- Expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP/PivotTables)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial data
- Proven track record of process improvement and automation initiatives
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present to executive leadership
- Experience managing accounting teams or mentoring junior staff
