Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial schedules for external audits and tax filings.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely vendor payments and accurate customer invoicing.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide variance analysis and financial insights.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation is a strong plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and internal controls.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
