Responsibilities
- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Lead the monthly and year-end closing processes, including variance analysis and financial statement preparation.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on schedule.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial reports to support strategic decision-making by leadership.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and internal policies.
- Assist in external audits and coordinate with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
