Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance, month-end close, and financial statement preparation
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes and ensure timely reconciliations
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and state regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes
- Lead audit preparation and documentation for external reviews
- Maintain accurate fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and ERP systems
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and compliance frameworks
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing month-end closing processes and reconciliations
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder collaboration
