Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, ensuring 100% accuracy.
- General Ledger: Manage daily accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns; maintain compliance with regulatory changes.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the budgeting process by analyzing variances and providing recommendations for cost reduction.
- Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors and internal teams to ensure smooth audit processes and documentation.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and implement best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or financial services environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage).
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP, financial regulations, and internal controls.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills.
