Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict compliance with GAAP.
- Manage general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors and providing requested documentation.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor management and invoice processing.
- Conduct variance analysis and assist in the preparation of the annual budget and forecasting models.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and filing requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA/CA certification preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting or a public accounting firm.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, able to articulate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
