Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial entries.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and local regulations.
- Conduct detailed bank reconciliations and variance analysis to support executive decision-making.
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring full compliance with tax codes.
- Lead internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and supporting schedules.
- Streamline accounts payable and receivable processes to optimize cash flow management.
- Assist in the budgeting process and provide financial forecasting models.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting or corporate finance environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
