Responsibilities
- Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure full compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and federal/state regulations.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and perform variance analysis.
- Conduct internal audits and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and federal tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- CPA certification or enrollment is a significant plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with cross-functional teams.
