Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate, complete, and properly classified.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing adjusting entries and performing variance analysis.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage and reconcile accounts payable and receivable ledgers, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits, providing requested documentation and explanations.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the accounting department and implement best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a strong plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in all financial reporting.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Integrity: Demonstrated high ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
