Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial records.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures, including bank reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure all tax filings are accurate and submitted on time.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, maintaining healthy cash flow and vendor relationships.
- Conduct internal audits and implement controls to mitigate financial risk.
- Prepare budget forecasts and assist in the development of financial models.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
