As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial health and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Oversee daily general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- Reconciliation: Perform detailed bank and credit card reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Compliance & Tax: Assist with local and federal tax compliance, including state tax filings specific to Georgia regulations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team and cross-functional departments to support business operations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- Certification: CPA, CMA, or ACCA preferred (or actively pursuing).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and Georgia state tax laws.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
