Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including GL maintenance and reconciliations
- Prepare month-end/year-end financial statements and regulatory reports
- Lead accounts payable/receivable processes with 3+ team members
- Analyze financial data and provide actionable insights for decision-making
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and state-specific Illinois tax regulations
- Implement process improvements for accounting workflows
- Collaborate with auditors during quarterly and annual reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA preferred)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in Illinois
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, SAP, and advanced Excel functions
- Demonstrated experience with Illinois sales tax filings
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage deadlines in fast-paced environments
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
