Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and vendor payments.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies found.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and external audit schedules.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support budget planning initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience (candidates with immediate availability are highly preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and federal tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance staff.
