Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all reconciliations are completed and variance analysis is performed.
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank accounts, credit cards, and inter-company transactions.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial processes comply with federal, state, and local regulations and internal policies.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and improve efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor junior staff and collaborate with other departments to support financial decision-making.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and reporting.
